This is Ethan. He arrived at CPR and after just 2 days in our care came down
with the deadly Parvo Virus. Parvo is a virus that can be transmitted from one
unvaccinated dog to another. It causes extreme vomiting and diarrhea. The
infected dog will stop eating and if left untreated will literally vomit and
defecate until it is so dehydrated its organs shut down. It is a VERY horrifying
way to die. Once Ethan was diagnosed with Parvo symptoms his foster dad
immediately took him to one of our affiliated vets for treatment which is where

Meet Phoenix!!! This absolutely gorgeous boy, is 1 year old,
Husky/Chow mix. Phoenix is beyond sweet and just wonderful with kids of all
ages. He plays so nicely, not jumpy or obnoxious. Phoenix is a big lovable
boy, but its not at all like having a large dog in the house. He has
wonderful manners and is not one bit hyper! He eats, sleeps and wants

Hope is here!! She is a 2 year
old American Staffordshire Terrier/ Boxer mix. Hope is about as sweet as they
come. As you can see from her pictures, she just adores kids. Hope loves
snuggles, kisses and just about any affection she can get! She is great with
other dogs and the birds in her foster home as well. Not only is she beautiful

to play fetch and love to play with my foster mommy, daddy and brothers. I am

live with any other doggies right now, but I have met some neighborhood friends,
and I don't mind them at all. I love to get my hair brushed! It feels so good I

Lucas arrived at CPR on
6/21/08. He is just 6 weeks old and was dropped off at a local shelter that is
not allowed to adopt out Pits. Lucas is a full breed Blue Brindle Pit pup. He
currently has a slight problem with he left rear leg that is being checked out.
It causes him no visible pain and it doesn't slow him down a bit. Lucas is a
fearless pup. He likes to hang with the big dogs in his foster home and can
certainly hold his own. lol Lucas will need a home with a family that has breed

Meet Louie. He is an 8 1/2 week
old male Akita/ Shepherd mix. Louie is SUCH a sweetie. He LOVES to snuggle and
give kisses to anyone that will let him. He is your typical playful pup who will
follow his foster mom all over the house as she goes about her day. He never
wanders off and is always within sight so he hasn't even needed a leash yet. He
loves the other dogs in his foster home and would do well as an only dog or with
a family with other playful dogs. He is especially fond of the the children in
his foster home. The 6 year old little girl there is his best buddy and he loves
to walk with her in the yard and sleep on her lap when she watches TV. Louie is

Meet Brodie. He is a 9 1/2 month old male German Shepherd/ Chow Chow mix. This playful young man arrived at CPR with a badly injured right front foot. He had a very large gash in his front paw and ended up with 7 stitches. He is TOTALLY in LOVE with the young, female, large breed permanent dog in his foster home. He and Penny are always laying together or attempting to play....which at them moment is pretty hard with the cone. lol Brodie would do well in a family with another young, spunky large breed dog to wrestle with and burn off steam. He would also do well as an only dog with a family that enjoys jogging or taking long walks for exercise. Cats are just too much fun to chase (they make such cool noises!! lol) and small breed dogs just tend to look like cats to Brodie. He adores the 6-7 year old children in his foster home.....[more] |

year old Pit bull Terrier mix. This pretty girl is Olivia's daughter. Kayla is
fun, fun, fun and oh so sweet!!! She is very affectionate, craves attention and
gives big, wet kisses. Kayla LOVES her toys and playing with other dogs. She can
be quite a goofball, so would do best with another dog that is equally as
playful. Kayla is also very much still a puppy and needs to learn some basic
obedience and be taught some manners. She is all about the lovin' but a very

Lola is a petite little lady, at about 35 pounds. She is very affectionate gal,
who LOVES to be praised and wags her tail constantly. Lola gets along very well
with the 2 dogs in her foster home, but is a pretty curious of the kitty. So no
cats in her new home please. She walks on a leash very calmly and loves to take
long walks
smelling everything in her path. Lola can be a bit frisky when she wants to
play, but she can also be content just taking a nap near you. If you are looking

old Miniature Schnauzer mix. Carlos is a loving boy and craves human
